Beyoncé and Jay-Z have produced a daughter: Ivy Blue Blue Ivy Carter.

(There was some disagreement about the name. The Daily News initially reported "Ivy Blue," as did some of the celebrity Tweeters, but others, including The Washington Post, identified the child as "Blue Ivy Carter." Either way, we are sure she is a welcome addition.)

When your family has a baby, your aunt calls your cousin. When the Carters have a baby, Russell Simmons tweets about it, or so says the Daily News:
Music mogul Russell Simmons also confirmed the arrival of the bundle of joy, tweeting “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”
Gwyneth Paltrow, a good friend of the music moguls, tweeted, "Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already."
Rihanna added her congratulations as well, writing "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."
Welcome, next-generation entertainment royalty. In 17 years or so, you will be old enough to listen to Reasonable Doubt.
