Wells Fargo names Howard Richardson to its board

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Wells Fargo & Co. said Wednesday that it has added a retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to its board of directors.

Howard "Rick" Richardson was elected to the board and will take on these duties Jan. 1. Richardson will serve on the board's audit and examination committee.

His election increases the size of the Wells Fargo board to 16 directors.

Richardson worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than three decades in a wide range of positions. He retired from the accounting and consulting firm in 2011.

Wells Fargo, headquartered in San Francisco, provides banking, insurance, investments, mortgage, and consumer and commercial finance services to customers worldwide.
