WH condemns Palestinian ‘Day of Rage’ after three are killed in attacks

Jerusalem suffered its bloodiest day yet as Palestinians called for a 'day of rage,’ intensifying the recent wave of unrest, with at least three Israelis killed as Palestinian attackers shot at a bus and another rammed a car into pedestrians. Following today’s attack, The White House condemned what it called “terror attacks” against Israeli civilians. The rising tide of violence, which has seen a series of stabbing attacks and protests, has raised fears of a full-scale third Palestinian intifada, or uprising.

I was in my house and I heard between 20 and 30 shots between the police and the terrorists.

An Isreali resident said of recent attacks.

Initially limited to annexed east Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, unrest has spread to Gaza, with Israeli troops killing nine Palestinians in border clashes in recent days. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would use “all means” available to end the violence and that new security measures were planned and warned Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas that he would hold him responsible if incitement led to a further deterioration. Some eight Israelis and 28 Palestinians have died in a month of Israeli-Palestinian unrest.

We will use and not hesitate to use all means at our disposal to restore calm, I’m sure the steps we will take will let the other side know that terror doesn’t pay.
