White House says Obama congratulated Canada's Trudeau on election win

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said U.S. President Barack Obama called Canada's Prime Minister-designate Justin Trudeau on Tuesday to congratulate him on his Liberal Party's election win. Obama and Trudeau talked about the recently completed Trans-Pacific Partnership, combating terrorism and working together to achieve an "ambitious" climate agreement in Paris later this year, the White House said in a statement.
