White House's secret beer recipe release 'up to public'

Washington, August 25 (ANI): Beer aficionados who want the recipe of Barack Obama's "White House Honey Ale," which is made in part from honey from the First lady's South Lawn beehive, seem to be in luck. White House press secretary Jay Carney who had said he was "not aware of any plans at this time to divulge the secret recipe," on Thursday when asked about the recipe, tweeted on Thursday night that if enough people signed the "We the People" petition the recipe would be released. "Got a Q today on @wethepeople petition asking us to share WH beer recipe: wh.gov/4y9b If it reaches the threshold, we'll release it," ABC News quoted him as wteeting. There's a 25,000-signatures threshold and so far fewer than 5,000 have signed the petition. The honey ale first came to light when Obama served it to his guests at the White House during the 2011 Super Bowl, and then again on St. Patrick's Day. Most recently, it became known that the president carries the beer with him on the campaign trail, where he offered a bottle to a potential voter in Iowa. (ANI)
