Whom Do Pop Stars Follow on Twitter? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Justin Bieber is the pop artist who follows the most of his music contemporaries on Twitter, from Katy Perry and Taylor Swift to Kayne West, while Lady Gaga is a lot more selective with whom she follows on the site.

Ticketing site ClickItTicket.com has compiled data on which celebrities are following whom on Twitter and how they are using the site. The company lists the following six pop stars as the most popular on the platform: Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift.

Lady Gaga doesn't follow any of the top pop stars using Twitter, but everyone else follows at least two of them. Bieber not only follows the most -- all five, and he's the only one that follows his own record label -- he also tweets more than the others. Bieber sends about 14 tweets each day to his fan base.

But Bieber hasn't been on the site the longest. Lady Gaga has been active on the site longer than other artists, for a total of 1,630 days or about 4.5 years.

Some musicians are more leaders than followers on Twitter. Eminem, for example, has more than 12 million followers and isn't following anyone. Meanwhile, West has nearly 9 million followers and is only following one person: Kim Kardashian, his girlfriend.

The infographic also points out some interesting information about whom these musicians follow. Lady Gaga may not follow Bieber and Spears, but all three follow one mysterious account: @ExtremeCatNip, which only has 65 followers.

    • Kanye West's Angry 'SNL' Rant Makes Saturday's Season Finale a Must-Watch

This coming weekend is a big one for Saturday Night Live. It marks the end of Bill Hader's tenure on the show and Ben Affleck's fifth time hosting. But perhaps the most significant reason to tune in is the fact that Kanye West is the musical guest, and he's making it seem like he really, really doesn't want to be. With West's apparent frustration with the show and his penchant for, shall we say ... off-the-cuff remarks, producers should be worried and we should be excited. Is there a better combo than that?
