The layers are slowly being peeled away from the mystery that is Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana's budding romance. We've been following the trail of clues leading to their heavy Sundance PDA (about which we're still talking). And it seems the two have really hit it off. This is perhaps a match we didn't see coming. But for a few reasons, seeing them canoodle gives us the Warm and Fuzzies…
They are annoyingly cute.
Bradley is ruggedly handsome, with the quirky appeal of a young boy who's just robbed the cookie jar. Zoe is breezy, exotic and multi-talented. This is the enticing kind of combo of qualities over which Hollywood salivates. Good looking couples are par for the course in the industry. But that these two seem completely unaware of their implicit hotness is precisely what adds to their implicit hotness.
They've both come from "a good place."
Cooper's last dalliance ended rather very quietly in the spring of 2011. The "Columbiana" star recently broke off an 11-year relationship with businessman Keith Britton in November that same year. In both instances, things seemed amicable, no interventions or rehab centers were required. In short, they seemed to have quietly moved on into the next phases of their lives with little baggage.
They played coy.
Bradley and Renee Zellweger's union was pretty public (although neither revealed much). And the millisecond that he was caught sharing a late night meal with Jennifer Lopez they were instantly branded an item. For all intents and purposes, his romance with Zoe flew under the radar. This cute pair eased into the relationship "surreptitiously." And let's face it. We love that Bradley and Zoe played coy with us during those first inklings of romance. They practically avoided detection while filming "The Words"---a thriller set for release in 2012. But they apparently confirmed those quiet whispers during the movie's Sundance premiere, and have been inseparable ever since.
They're equally yoked in Hollywood.
They both started out in movies around the same time. As such, the quality of their films collectively is pretty solid. Thrillers, fluffy comedies, sci-fi smashes---these two have covered pretty much the whole gamut. Thus, neither of them needs to lean on the other to remain relevant in their craft. They might even---gasp---actually like each other. There's a 99% chance that this developing courtship is no publicity stunt.
