WOLFSBURG, Germany (AP) — Wolfsburg midfielder Junior Malanda will miss the remaining four matches in the Bundesliga after damaging ligaments in his right knee in the 2-0 German Cup loss at Borussia Dortmund.

Wolfsburg says Malanda will be out for six to eight weeks and will not need surgery.

Malanda was injured when Dortmund defender Sokratis fell on his leg in a goalmouth melee during Tuesday's match.

Malanda was not believed to be on the shortlist for the Belgium World Cup squad.
