    Woodforest Golf Club’s Demo Day to Give Golfers the Pro Treatment

    Public Event to Showcase Latest Golf Equipment and Technology

    Montgomery County golf club, Woodforest Golf Club, is set to host the season’s first demo day on Saturday, March 3rd, from 10:00a.m. – 2:00p.m. This complimentary event is open to the public and will give golf enthusiasts a chance to try out the latest golf equipment from the top brands, including Cleveland, TaylorMade, Callaway, and Nike.

    “Demo day is a golf lover’s dream,” said Woodforest Golf Club General Manager and Gulf States PGA Hall of Famer, Tom Martty. “If it’s new this year, you can try it at demo day. We feel privileged to introduce golfers to the latest tools of the trade, as well as show our appreciation for our players through this event.”

    In addition to demonstrating this year’s newest golf equipment, The Golf Station will be at the event to provide private fittings from their tour van, which is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer measuring system. Show attendants will be able to receive the same fitting services that professional tour players are accustomed to, which is not available anywhere else in this area. The Golf Station’s certified staff currently fits players for the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and AJGA Tour, as well as amateur players from all levels.

    Woodforest Golf Club’s expert staff, including head professional Jeff Rutherford and PGA instructors Erich Schneider and Jon Baacke, will be on hand to meet and interact with show participants. Special monthly and weekly membership opportunities will be awarded to individuals who make a purchase at the event. All demo day registered participants will be eligible to win a dozen golf balls and other exciting prizes during the drawings taking place every 30 minutes.

    Community-wide vendors will also be present at the event, including Gold’s Gym, Woodforest Development, Outlook Wealth Advisors, LLC, Nutrition Depot, Darling Homes, Rebecca Creek Whiskey, and Spring Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership.

    Among its many accolades, Woodforest Golf Club has received the esteemed award as the #1 Golf Course in the State (Dallas Morning News – May, 2011) for their consistent, superior quality golf course. Woodforest is home to many prestigious events, which include Texas Golf Association tournaments, State Amateur Qualifier, Mid-Am Qualifier, State Senior 4-Ball Championship, TGA Legends Junior Tour tournaments, and the 72-hole PGA Champions Tour Qualifying School.
