World Cup trophy broken during German celebration

The German soccer team couldn't contain its excitement in the wake of its first World Cup title in 24 years.

The players evidently couldn't keep the Holy Grail of soccer in tact, either.

German Football Association president Wolfgang Niersbach told German weekly news magazine Der Spiegel that the World Cup trophy — which they earned after a 1-0 win over Argentina — was "chipped" during the club's celebrations.

Niersbach also said "do not worry," and that they have "specialists" who can repair the trophy.

Whether or not that is the case, he also said the club has looked into the matter but an investigation into the culprit turned up nothing.

Oh, and also, Rihanna was a huge part of the German win too.
