WPBT2, in association with the New World School of the Arts, brings young, South Florida theatre talent to art supporters across the nation through its online video sharing platform, uVu (uvuvideo.org).

Featuring performances of Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters, behind the scenes interviews from the cast of Spring Awakening and the One Festival, a collection of one-person acts, written, produced and directed by the students, the videos highlight the broad range of talent and creativity the students from the New World School of the Arts possess.
“Partnering with uVu has allowed New World School of the Arts to come into the homes of arts and education supporters all across the globe to demonstrate that Miami is home to one of the most recognized and respected arts conservatories in the nation. Our college and high school students are not only meeting or exceeding all academic standards, they are also becoming accomplished artists in our community and beyond,” said Maria Flores, director of marketing and communications for the New World School of the Arts.
Arts, culture and education are the main pillars behind uVu. Working with the major performing arts centers and schools in the region, uVu has become an important component in the educational outreach of these institutions. uVu continues its involvement in the arts community to extend the reach of these educational components.
“Arts and culture are the epicenter of a community, and uVu recognizes the impact that artists have on its growth and development. By being at the forefront and documenting the day-to-day achievements of our students, uVu once again demonstrates its commitment to our city and to our youth,” said Flores.
uVu encourages all local arts organizations, community groups and schools to participate in adding content. The open platform allows for user generated content, but interested organizations can also talk directly with the uVu team.
