    WRIS Web Services Partners with University School to Develop Internship Program

    Program will allow students to learn more about digital media and marketing.

    WRIS Web Services is pleased to announce a new social media internship program in partnership with University School. As the primary provider of social media content to the University School Alumni Association, WRIS has worked with the school to re-engage alumni through a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. This new internship program was designed to maintain the momentum WRIS has helped to create, while offering students the chance to learn more about digital media and marketing .

    The program will allow eight University School students ranging from 9th-12th grade to learn about the proper tools, tactics, and techniques of social media. The students will not only gain knowledge of this increasingly powerful tool, but also hold an actual position with a leading local digital firm. Furthermore, the school and alumni association will benefit with the creation of expanded, targeted, user-generated content, while WRIS benefits through the addition of eight highly qualified and energized students.

    The students will be tasked with keeping their fingers on the pulse of the school. Not only will they be following regularly scheduled school events (sports, performing arts, guest speakers) and using a variety of mediums (writing, photography, videography), they will also be providing 'one-off' content such as "a day in the life" features, allowing alumni to see what today's School looks like.
