WyckWyre.com, a virtual hiring system for restaurants, comes to Columbus in effort to easily pair employers with potential employees.
NY (PRWEB) August 31, 2011
"We're a niche website that lists restaurant and hospitality jobs, but we go beyond just that. We also pre-screen applicants for employers with "virtual interviews" during the application process that are so simple to set up. This helps employers focus on the best qualified applicants for the job, making it much easier for them to find qualified workers," Lisa DiVirgilio, marketing manager at WyckWyre.com, said. "This is especially important in the food industry, where the annual turnover rate stands at a staggering 113 percent. The less time throughout the hiring process, the better."
WyckWyre.com launched in May 2010 and has since worked successfully with independently owned restaurants, franchises and corporate concepts as well. The site lists jobs from entry-level positions to top-level management positions that are related to the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Over the next three months, WyckWyre.com plans to extensively work with both employers and potential employees in the Columbus, OH area.
"We want to find those perfect matches. If a restaurant has a job opening, we want to help them find the perfect employee. And if someone is looking for work, we want to help find them that perfect restaurant job. It's a mutual handshake process," DiVirgilio said.
WyckWyre.com will get to know the Columbus community by working with different student groups, sponsoring events and working with different restaurants.
"We want to be as actively involved in the community as possible. We try to keep engaged with our connections through our social networks, but we love to get out there and meet the people that use our services - be it on the employer or employee side," DiVirgilio said.
WyckWyre.com has received constant applause from those that use the system.
"I am extremely impressed with the program and headaches it saves me," one New York restaurant manager said.
