Gamers who plan to purchase Microsoft’s new Xbox One console have endured quite a roller coaster ride since Microsoft unveiled its next-generation video game box earlier this year. But those who weren’t deterred by all of the controversial policies and backtracking are finally in for a bit of unexpected good news. During the Citi Global Technology Conference, Xbox chief marketing officer Yusef Mehdi announced that Microsoft’s new console has now entered production ahead of its November launch. GeekWire reports Mehdi also confirmed that the custom AMD Jaguar processor powering the Xbox One will be clocked at 1.75 GHz rather than 1.6GHz as Microsoft had previously announced. Separately, Microsoft’s Graeme Boyd confirmed on his Twitter account that the console will be released on November 22nd in initial markets including the U.S., U.K., Italy, Spain and several others. The console will cost $499 with a bundled Kinect sensor and a complete list of launch titles can be found here.
