Xbox Slashes Prices for Black Friday
The Xbox One has generally lagged behind the PlayStation 4 in sales, but Microsoft is doing everything in its power to close that gap for the 2014 holidays. Microsoft has just launched an Xbox Black Friday page, detailing a variety of impressive deals on Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, games, peripherals and online subscriptions.
Microsoft's Xbox Black Friday page collects deals from a handful of major retailers, including Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and Microsoft's own online store. While it's not an exhaustive list of every Xbox deal debuting on Black Friday, it's an excellent place to start if you're in the market to pick up Microsoft's latest console.

At the very least, most retailers will be offering the Xbox One Assassin's Creed Unity bundle (which comes with a console, a controller, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Unity) for $330. This represents a $70 savings over its usual price, and a $20 savings over its temporary holiday-season price cut.
Most retailers are also offering perks on top of the price cut. Microsoft itself will throw in a free game (Forza Motorsport 5, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare or Titanfall), while Target will give Xbox One buyers a $50 Target gift card. Other bundles include free games, free controllers and consoles with larger hard drives.
Gamers on more of a budget may also be interested to know that the Microsoft will sell the Xbox 360 for $130 along with a copy of either Forza Horizon 2 or Titanfall. Wal-Mart will offer a 4 GB console for $99. While the Xbox 360's game-release schedule is winding down, it's still an excellent streaming media player.
The deals are worth checking out, but one thing to keep in mind is that Amazon has not yet revealed how much it will discount the Xbox One come Black Friday. The online vendor has advertised its "lowest price ever" on the console. Before you commit to another retailer, it might be wise to adopt a wait-and-see approach.
