Yet another report suggests new iPhones will be hard to find at launch this year

Following an earlier report from BGR that suggested supply of Apple’s iPhone 5s will be very constrained at launch, a new claim suggests difficulties producing a different iPhone component could impact supply of both new iPhone models when they are released later this week. Digitimes on Tuesday reported that supply chain rumors suggest Apple’s suppliers are having trouble with camera lens modules for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. Only one supplier, Largan Precision, has been able to meet top Apple’s desired yield rate, according to the report. Other suppliers are apparently still falling short, and this could be another sign that the iPhone 5s will be hard to find come Friday. As for the iPhone 5c, it looks like there will be plenty to go around even if production is falling short of Apple’s orders.
