New York jury tells judge unable to reach verdict in Etan Patz trial

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A jury said on Wednesday it was unable to reach a verdict in the murder trial of a man who confessed to killing a New York boy missing since 1979. The panel sent a note to the judge at state Supreme Court in Manhattan saying it was deadlocked in the kidnapping and murder trial of Pedro Hernandez, 54, accused of killing 6-year-old Etan Patz.
