Brad Fischer and James Vanderbilt, who produced David Fincher's "Zodiac," have announced their new project: a film adaptation that tells the story of a serial killer during WWII.
Mythology Entertainment has bought the rights to Scott Andrew Selby's novel "A Serial Killer in Nazi Berlin: The Chilling True Story of the S-Bahn Murderer." It is the second time producers Brad Fischer and James Vanderbilt have focused on a serial killer, seven years after "Zodiac" starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo.
Screenwriter Mark Hogan has been hired to write the script, focusing on the hunt for a German criminal in Nazi Berlin.
The film already has a title, "Blackout," although the cast, director, filming dates and release date are still unknown.
James Vanderbilt is currently working on a script for another Third Reich feature film that follows the time Hermann Goering spent in an American jail.
