Zodiac signs of world leaders — ranked!
Are you a world leader? Chances are you're a Scorpio.
According to our friends over at Vocativ — which analyzed the birth dates of 187 heads of government — Scorpios account for more leaders (22) than any other, with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott among them.
Leo (18) and Sagitarius (18) are tied for the second most popular zodiac sign among current government heads.
"The typical Leo is enthusiastic & warm-hearted," Vocativ's Jishai Evers writes, "but is often accused of being pompous & patronizing."
President Barack Obama and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras are counted among the powerful Leos, while Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff are two of the 18 heads holding Sagitarius.
Virgos, meanwhile, account for the fewest world leaders of any zodiac sign, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev being the most notable.
Not included on the Scorpio world-leader list, at least for now: former secretary of state and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.
"The typical Scorpio is determined and forceful," Evans notes, "but often suffers from being secretive and obstinate."
