‘Zoolander 2′ Stars Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig Have Chosen a Celebrity Couple Nickname

Brangelina, Kimye, Bennifer Two (may you rest in peace) are just a few of the nicknames for celebrity couples that really caught on with the public. Now, inspired by Robsten, the name that Twilight actors Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart shared when they were an item, actors Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig have chosen a moniker of their own: Willsten.

Doesn’t quite have the ring of the late G.I. Joe, does it? Nonetheless, Ferrell and Wiig seemed firm about the decision and even sported their name on matching hoodies Tuesday afternoon in NYC.

The jokesters, who were expected to attend the premiere of their new movie, Zoolander 2, just a few hours later, share a kissing scene in the comedy.

During an interview with Today, Wiig confessed that their bizarre make out sesh was actually impromptu. The first time they spoke about it was in the moments before the cameras rolled.

“Kristen was like, 'You know what, I’m OK with whatever,’” Ferrell said. “Then [director and star] Ben [Stiller] said, 'Action!’ and that’s what happened. Then he yelled 'cut!’ and said, 'I don’t know what I’m watching, but keep going.’"

Alas, the Willsten name is destined to be short-lived. While Wiig keeps her dating status private, Ferrell has been happily married to actress Viveca Paulin for 15 years.
