Suspect in custody after stand-off in Fairview

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested in Fairview after allegedly breaking into a home and barricading himself inside Thursday evening, authorities said.

According to the Multnomah County Sherriff’s Office, they received a call around 3:30 p.m. that a man was attempting to enter a home.

The caller and other people inside the home managed to get out and meet deputies while a perimeter was established around the house the suspect was inside.

Since the man was believed to have access to weapons, the East Metro SWAT was activated and responded to the scene.

The barricaded man stayed inside until authorities said they got a warrant for his arrest and entered the home around 11 p.m.

The man, later identified as Bradley Paul Wyatt, 49, faces charges including first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. He is currently being held in prison on a state parole violation.

Officials say no one was hurt in the incident.
