'Cybergeddon' cast and crew spill secrets

"Cybergeddon," the original Web series on Yahoo! Screen, imagines a global cyberwar on billions of devices at once. The nine-part episodic event, from "CSI" creator Anthony Zuiker, is about FBI agent Chloe Jocelyn (Missy Peregrym), who is framed for a series of cyberattacks masterminded by technoterrorist Gustov Dobreff (Olivier Martinez).

Manny Montana (FBI agent Frank Parker, who has a romantic history with Chloe and wants to believe that she's been set up) and Kick Gurry (hacker Rabbit Rosen, who helps Chloe catch the real criminal and provides some welcome comic relief) also co-star.

Now that all nine episodes have aired, fans wanted to know more: Have we seen the last of Chloe Jocelyn? Was her haircut real or fake? And is Kick that funny in real life? Some of the cast and crew of the online series gathered for a Q and A Twitter chat with fans.

If you haven't yet watched, you can view all nine chapters of "Cybergeddon."

Q. What is the meaning of "cybergeddon"?
A. Schott's Vocab describes it as "the potentially catastrophic effect of a major Internet attack."

Q. Have any of the actors been the victim of cyber crime?
A. Manny Montana (FBI agent Frank Parker) @MannyMontana: My mother was a victim of identity theft. It was one reason I was so drawn to the "Cybergeddon" script.

Q. What is the meaning behind the "Cybergeddon" virus 3F8s, or three fates?
A. The origin of the name is Greek. According to Mythencyclopedia.com, the three fates were goddesses who shaped the destinies of human lives. Homer, in "The Iliad," called the three fates "the will of the gods." Greek poetry describes the fates as three old women. Shakespeare's "Macbeth" features three witches as the fates.

Q. When do the next chapters happen? Will Missy Peregrym continue on?
A. Chloe Jocelyn will be back, guaranteed.

Q. What are creator Anthony Zuiker's favorite shows?
A. "The Voice" and "Homeland." And don't forget "CSI."

Q. Was there a prankster on set?
A. Manny Montana @MannyMontana: On other films I've never broken character. On "Cybergeddon," Kick made me laugh on set and sometimes forget a line.

Q. Will there be a rekindling of the romance between Chloe and Frank?
A. Montana @MannyMontana: Originally in the script I was supposed to kiss her (Chole) and that changed. So I'm waiting for Part 2!

Q. How did you know Missy was your Chloe?
Producer Matt Weinberg @rsickulous: We targeted actors for their roles. For Missy's role we wanted a kickass woman w/ a sensitive side. @mperegrym @mannymontana @foggycitymama

Q. And how did Manny get the part of Frank?
Weinberg @rsickulous: I was so impressed with Manny on "The Chicago Code." He was so good. I thought he died halfway thru the first season, but he died halfway thru the first episode. He just made that kind of lasting impression.

Q. Was the portrayal of Norton and the cybercrime team accurate?
A. @NortonOnline works 24 hours a day to prevent cybercrime. The situations you saw in "Cybergeddon" are real.

Q. Missy's haircut -- was that real, or fake?
A. Missy Peregrym @mperegrym: It was a wig. If I was allowed, I would have chopped it short! I will as soon as I own my own head again.

Q. Will Cybergeddon have more chapters?
A. Weinberg @rsickulous: We expect the story will go on.
