1 dead, 2 injured in Lauderhill shooting, cops say. Police still searching for suspect

A man died and two others are injured after a shooting outside of a Lauderhill apartment complex triggered multiple 911 calls Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Investigators on Wednesday identified the man who was fatally gunned down as 20-year-old Jaylin Conorquie. According to public records, Conorquie lived near the complex.

Around 3:50 p.m., 911 calls flooded in reporting a shooting at 2500 Inverrary Club Apartments, 2750 NW 56th Ave, Lauderhill police said. As officers were responding, they spotted a man nearby lying on the ground, shot and unresponsive.

Paramedics took Conorquie to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later died.

While detectives were investigating, another man checked into Florida Medical Center with a related, non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He’s in stable condition, police said.

A third man sustained injuries at the apartment complex but didn’t need to go to the hospital.

Police are searching for a suspect but don’t have any leads. The motive of the shooting remains unknown.
