White Lawyer Reportedly Fired After A Video Of A Black Woman Accusing Him Of Yanking Off Her Wig Goes Viral
Brooklyn musician Lizzy Ashliegh went viral on Saturday after she posted a TikTok video alleging a white man yanked off her wig while they passed each other in the middle of a New York City street.
After she posted the video, the internet did its thing and discovered the man was Anthony Orlich, a New York attorney employed with Leader Berkon Colao & Silverstein LLP.
The video prefaced with “There’s demons in NY I SWEAR!” began with Ashliegh holding her curly green wig, yelling at Orlich. She confronted him for what he had just done.
“Sir! For what f**king reason? For what reason did you take my wig off? What made you think that was a good thing to do?”
“Do you hate women or something?” she continued.
Orlich was visually unremorseful and unmoved by the young lady yelling at him about what he had done. While his friends continuously asked him to apologize, he smiled and repeatedly said, “For what?”
“Why did you take my wig off and keep walking? Why?” Ashliegh asked.
Orlich dismissed Ashliegh and walked away as she kept demanding an answer.
One of his friends looked pretty apologetic about the situation and made a gesture of apology as Orlich stammered down the street.
Ashliegh acknowledged the friend’s attempt to make things right but was still very upset.
“You’re nice as f**k, but him, he needs someone to beat his f***in’ ass!” she said.

Ashliegh’s last statement in the video was echoed by her caption, “Pardon my French but he needs one good ass whooping !!! 🤬🤬🤬.”
The TikTok user posted a series of videos and provided more insight into what led to the crazy altercation.
She updated viewers, letting them know TikTok had discovered Orlich’s identity in less than 12 hours. She also thanked users for the reports they had begun making to his law firm.
The artist revealed she was hurt when Orlich yanked off her wig. Due to it being stabilized by a comb, the hard pull caused her to have trauma and strain on her neck and pulled out some of her natural hair.
After going to the doctor under the direction of the police, she filed a police report.

Shortly after social media began fighting for Ashliegh, the lawyer’s picture and profile were removed from the firm’s site.
On Tuesday, Leader Berkon Colao & Silverstein LLP posted on its LinkedIn page that Orlich was “no longer with the Firm.”
“We have been made aware of a video of a non-work related incident involving one of our associates circulating on social media,” the statement began. “We take seriously any inappropriate behavior by any employee, whether inside or outside the workplace. This associate is no longer with the Firm.”
Ashliegh posted one more video on the situation, stating she was “unable to say more at the moment” because she was “moving forward legally.”
Again, she thanked everyone for their help in identifying Orlich and was being “educated” on how to move forward.
