A 1.2 million square-foot CITY Furniture facility is coming to Plant City

PLANT CITY — A 1.2 million square-foot CITY Furniture facility and 500 new jobs are coming to the Tampa Bay area in July 2022, the company announced in a news release.

The facility will serve as a Regional Corporate Office, with a 160,000-square-foot showroom and a distribution center totaling 1 million square feet. It will include CITY Furniture features such as CITY Marketplace, the KC Wine Bar and Mattress Gallery.

The company has 20 showrooms in South and Central Florida and also runs 14 Ashley HomeStore showrooms.

While the exact location of the showroom has not yet been released, it will be located about 30 minutes from downtown Tampa, a news release said. ARCO National Construction will lead construction of the center.

“Our new Plant City showroom and warehouse facility is centrally located between Orlando and Tampa, with great frontage along I-4,” senior vice president of finance and real estate Ryan Cronin said in the release. “Plant City is a wonderful area, and we are extremely encouraged by the response we’ve received from the city’s leadership.”
