This $1.27 million Columbia SC home for sale has unique Charleston-style features. Take a look
If you want a home with a unique style outside of what’s normally found in Columbia but still has a South Carolina flavor, then a $1.27 million home recently listed for sale might be for you.
The four-story home at 719 Blanding Street near downtown was listed for sale less than two weeks ago. Though built in 2004, it has three Charleston-style porches that overlook the city, along with a few other interesting features.
“It’s pretty unique, it’s pretty cool,” Reynard Carrie, the listed real estate agent for the property, said of the home. “We’ve had a lot of traffic come in for it already.”
The four-story, 7,537 square-foot house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
“A unique thing about it is all of the kitchen and the dining room is on the second floor,” Carrie said.
Another special feature is the home has an elevator that moves through all four floors, Carrie added.
Other features include a swimming pool with a nearby, recently installed gas fireplace for outdoor entertaining. The home has two master suites, one on the main level and the other on the third level that has its own gas fireplace.
The house also has copper gutters and a Bose sound system installed throughout the building.
Carrie, who focuses exclusively on homes in the $1 million-plus range, said houses in that price bracket have been popping up on the market more often recently.
“A lot of the baby boomers, they’re starting to downgrade and their kids don’t to inherit the homes, they want the cash,” Carrie said.
