1-9-5-7 helps NJ lottery players win over $1.1M. It also was a pretty noteworthy year
Turning 66 might be tough, but it put some extra cash in the pockets of hundreds of lottery players.
The numbers 1-9-5-7 proved to be a great play for New Jersey Lottery players on Sunday as over a million dollars in prizes were awarded in the state’s Pick-4 game, according to the lottery.
In all, 262 lottery players won $2,500 each playing 1957 straight with just a 50 cent wager. It set a “single-day record for prize payout across the midday and evening drawings,” the NJ Lottery stated.

To celebrate all those Baby Boomers turning 66 this year, here’s a look back at some of the events that made 1957 a noteworthy year:
