1 Arlington restaurant closed after scoring zero on recent health inspection

One Arlington restaurant was closed and another failed its health inspection between June 11-17, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Vina Cafe, located at 2232 S. Collins St., was closed by the city after scoring zero on the June 16 inspection. The restaurant scored 87 on a follow-up inspection the same day and was allowed to reopen.

The city previously closed Vina Cafe during a Nov. 23, 2022, inspection.

The Buffalo Spot, located at 1707 N. Collins St., failed inspection on June 16 with a score of 70. The violations were not listed. Restaurants that score 75 or less require a follow-up inspection, and 70 is considered extremely poor.

Three other restaurants scored lower than 75 but didn’t fail the inspection.

Famous Cajun Grill at 3811 S. Cooper St. scored 67, Roma Trattoria at 6204 S. Cooper St. scored 71, and T’s Buka at 807 E. Arkansas Lane scored 73. All three require follow-up inspections.

No Soup For You at 1110 S. Bowen Road scored 61 on May 31 and was temporarily closed by the city. The restaurant was allowed to reopen June 12.

The Halal Guys at 4144 S. Cooper St., Perks Cafe at 1104 W. Interstate 20 and Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux at 401 E. Interstate 20, all received a perfect score of 100.
