1 dead, 1 critical after Highland Street shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed and another in critical condition Monday afternoon after a shooting on Highland Street south of Park Avenue.

Police were called to the shooting at 2 p.m. in the 900 block of South Highland at the Quick and Easy food shop.

They found two victims; one was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to Regional One hospital in critical condition.

Police are investigating and asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
