1 dead, 1 injured in Merced shooting
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One man is dead another was injured in a shooting in Merced early Wednesday morning, according to the Merced Police Department.
Police say around 5:00 a.m. officers responded to a report of several shots heard in the area of Denver Way and Frankfort Court.
When officers arrived they were directed to a residence where they say and an unresponsive man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, police say the man died on the scene.
Officers say they found a man who fled to a nearby house and was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was located and transported to a local hospital.
