1 dead, 2 injured in Stockton after shooting on Greensboro Way

Homicide detectives in Stockton are investigating after a man was killed and two other men were injured in a triple shooting Friday night, the Stockton Police Department said.

At 10:36 p.m. Aug. 19, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4900 block of Greensboro Way.

When officers arrived, they located three people who were shot, including a 36-year-old man, a 27-year-old man, and a 24-year-old man. Officers said they performed life-saving measures on the 36-year-old man, who was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

The 27-year-old man and 24-year-old man were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive, authorities said.

The deadly shooting marks Stockton's 35th homicide case of 2022. The city has seen three other homicides in the last nine days.

On Aug. 15, a 29-year-old man was slain outside of South Side Market. On Aug. 11, a 23-year-old man was shot and killed outside of Golden 1 Credit Union at Sherwood Mall. The same day, a 43-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Popeye's restaurant on West Lane.
