Man dead after crashing into tree in South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 44-year-old man has died from his injuries after crashing into a tree early Wednesday morning in South Nashville.

The crash happened at approximately 6 a.m. at the intersection of Massman Drive and Glastonbury Road, just south of the Nashville International Airport.

Investigators believe Jeremiah Bradshaw was driving a 2004 Nissan Maxima northbound on Massman Drive when he passed a northbound shuttle bus at a high rate of speed. Metro police reported video from the bus shows Bradshaw attempting to negotiate a curve in the southbound lane when he lost control of the car and traveled off the roadway, hitting a tree.

Bradshaw was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

According to a release, the preliminary contributing factors to this crash are speed and failure to maintain lane.
