1 dead following Jonesville Road crash

BRANCH COUNTY — One woman died in a crash on Jonesville Road northeast of Coldwater Sunday afternoon.

Branch County undersheriff Keith Eichler identified her as Dominique Marie Mendham, 30, from Portage, Michigan.

Just after 2:30 p.m., sheriff deputies found a vehicle had hit a maple tree near 925 Jonesville Road along the Quincy and Butler townships border. The driver, the only person in the car, was deceased.

Eichler said the car left the roadway and struck a tree broadside.

Jonesville Road was closed from Quincy Grange to Ray Quincy Road for more than two hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
