1 dead, teen in hospital after Prairie Avenue shooting

UPDATE (4/24 9:22 a.m.): Mobile Police have released more information about a deadly Tuesday night shooting on Prairie Avenue.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, the two victims were found in two separate vehicles.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle dead from a gunshot wound, according to the release.

The release said officers then located a male juvenile in a different vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for a life-threatening injury.

The man’s identity has not been released at this time.

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A person is dead and a teenager is injured after a shooting Tuesday night on Prairie Avenue, News 5 has learned.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of Prairie Avenue in the Maryvale community.

SHOOTING LOCATION:

The person who is dead was driving a vehicle when they were shot in the head. This person has been identified as a male, but his name and identity have not been released.

The injured teenager is a 15 years old; he was transported to a hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time.
