1 hospitalized after rollover crash in Dayton

A person was transported to a local hospital after a rollover crash in Dayton Wednesday morning.

Dayton Police, Fire, and EMS responded near the intersection of Brandt Pike and Harshman Road at around 7:55 a.m. after receiving reports of a single-vehicle crash, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch confirmed.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle rolled over onto its top and the driver trapped inside, dispatch stated.

Rescue crews successfully extricated the person and medics tended to their injuries at the scene, dispatch continued. Medics later transported the person to an unknown hospital for further treatment.

News Center 7 crews reached the scene after responders flipped the car right side up and before towing it away.

It is currently unknown what caused the accident.

Dayton Police led the investigation into the crash.
