1 injured in crash that shut down Shaler road

One person was injured in a crash that shut down a Shaler road overnight.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Route 8 and Duquesne Street. First responders blocked off the area until around 12:45 a.m. when the scene was cleared.

A Channel 11 photographer captured video of a car and SUV being towed away.

One person was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Their condition was not released.

Shaler police are investigating.
