1 injured in Highway 61 crash near Lake City
Dec. 5—LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 61 near Lake City on Tuesday evening, Dec. 5, 2023.
The 2012 Chevy Malibu was traveling south on Highway 61 when the vehicle hit the guardrail at 261st Avenue, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.
The driver of the Chevy, Elle Ann Engel, 18, of Fountain City, Wisconsin, had non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Lake City.
The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, Lake City Police Department, Lake City Fire Department and Lake City Ambulance also responded to the crash.
