At least one person was killed and several were wounded Saturday after a shooting at an unauthorized motorcycle club gathering in Iowa.
Waterloo Police responded to a “shots fired report” at about 3:17 a.m at a building where over 100 bikers had assembled, according to NBC News.
Waterloo Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald said at a press conference that officers arrived to find about a dozen people injured and believed that “some kind of confrontation” led to the shooting.
Of the injured people, at least eight had suffered gunshot wounds. One person died and another was in critical condition, Fitzgerald said.
Investigators are unsure how many people may have fired shots during the altercation, but so far no arrests have been made.
Police later made three arrests for disorderly conduct at a hospital where some of the victims were taken but it was not clear if those arrested were connected to the earlier shooting.
