Second person dies day later after being pulled from house fire in Glasgow

A second man has died following a house fire in Glasgow that killed another man early Thursday morning, fire officials said.

First responders were called to the first block of Eaton Place at 3:10 a.m. for reports of a fire with people trapped. When firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company arrived, they found smoke coming from the back of the house, the fire company said.

Two females, a 38-year-old and a 14-year-old girl, had gotten out of the home and met firefighters in the front yard. They told first responders that the men were still inside.

Firefighters rushed in and found a 45-year-old man on the first floor and a 21-year-old man on the second floor. Both were in cardiac arrest when firefighters got them out and took them to Christiana Hospital.

On Friday afternoon, the 21-year-old man died at the Crozer Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania, according to fire officials.

The 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital, the fire company said. The woman and teen were treated for smoke inhalation.

Two dogs also died in the blaze, the state fire marshal's office said Thursday afternoon. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.

Damage was estimated at about $300,000, the fire marshal's office said.
