$1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in New Hampshire

The billion-dollar Mega Millions jackpot is off the table for New Englanders, but one lucky ticketholder won a second-tier prize worth $1 million.

The ticket, sold in New Hampshire, was among 20 second-tier winning tickets sold nationwide. These prizewinners matched all five white balls – 13, 36, 45, 57 and 67 – but not the sixth gold ball.

Six other second-tier winners included the optional Megaplier, which doubled winnings for a $2 million prize.

The latest Mega Millions jackpot run ended Friday after a ticketholder in Illinois won the grand prize of $1.337 billion (sadly, just $780.5 million in cash).

The drawing was the second largest jackpot in the 20-year history of the game, topped by $1.537 billion won in South Carolina in 2018.
