One person was seriously injured in a shooting that followed a theft at a local business Monday night, according to Lubbock police.

Officers were called to a shopping center near 50th Street and Avenue U just before 8:30 p.m. Monday for reports of shots fired. Police learned that several several suspects in an alleged theft were fleeing a business in the shopping center when someone fired at the suspects multiple times, LPD said.
