One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend in east Lubbock.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash that occurred at 7:14 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of E. Loop 289, according to a statement from LPD.
Investigators believe a Ford Expedition, driven by 32-year-old Mario Torres Jr., was traveling northbound on the East Loop when Torres lost control and left the roadway, causing the vehicle to flip.
Torres suffered serious injuries and was taken to University Medical Center by ambulance.
Other factors contributing to the crash were not immediately clear as the investigation is on-going.
