$10,000 donated to Hanover Public Library

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) – $10,000 was donated to the Hanover Public Library on Saturday.

It was given by the Mason Dixon Chapter, a group of bikers that strive to improve education. They give to charities every month and the library said they could not be more thankful.

“Community partners are just the lifeblood of a library,” said Lizzy Baldwin, Director of the Hannover Public Library Association. “It’s what makes us work, it’s what makes us such a valuable asset to Hanover.”

“We want to make sure that the kids have somewhere to go where they can read books, where they can have full use of the computers and also summer programs that the library offers,” said Melissa Schord, Mason Dixon Chapter A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania.

The Mason Dixon Chapter will make a donation to another charity next month. Aside from this one, their most recent gift was to the York County SPCA.
