Although the big-name concerts coming to Memphis won’t really start to hit their stride until the spring, the winter months still offer a fair selection of shows that will entertain Memphis and Mid-South audiences.

From blazing hot standup comedians to R&B super jams, heavy metal legends to classic pop performers, the next few weeks will bring a stellar mix of entertainment to the region.

Here are 10 great shows to check out during February.

Sarah Shook and the Disarmers: Feb. 2, Hernando’s Hideaway

North Carolina high lonesome singer Sarah Shook and backing band the Disarmers make a stop in Memphis in February. Shook and company are touring ahead of the release of a much-anticipated new album, “Revelations,” set to drop in late March. They will play the Whitehaven-area honky-tonk on Feb. 2. Funny Marco: Feb. 2-3, Chuckles Comedy House

Cordova nightclub Chuckle Comedy House welcomes Funny Marco, one of the brightest young comedy stars of the day. The 30-year-old online prankster and mock talk show host will be performing for two nights at Chuckles. He will play shows at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 3. Cupcake: Feb. 9, at Minglewood Hall

Fantastically risqué Chicago rapper and singer Cupcake will make a concert appearance at Midtown’s Minglewood Hall on Feb. 9. Cupcake — known for hit singles like “Mosh Pit” and “Discounts” — will headline this 18-and-older show, which will be a general admission standing event. Tickets: $42; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Legendary Texas heavy metal band Pantera reunites for an arena tour that will stop in Memphis. Pantera’s “For the Fans. For the Brothers. For the Legacy” tour plays FedExForum on Feb. 10. Lamb of God will also appear on the bill. Tickets: $42-$247; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Matt Rife: Feb. 16, Orpheum

Fast-rising comedian Matt Rife will be playing two shows at Memphis’ Orpheum on Feb. 16 as part of his “ProbleMATTic” world tour. The 27-year-old Ohio native — who has gained fame on TikTok (where he has 14 million followers) and YouTube (where he has a million subscribers) — has been doing standup since his teen years. His acting crediting include roles in "Fresh Off the Boat" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Although tickets for both the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Orpheum performances are sold out, resale tickets are available on secondary market sites like Stubhub and Seat Geek starting around $100; go to Orpheum-Memphis.com.

It will be an “R&B Superjam” as several veteran musical acts are teaming up for a February concert in the Mid-South headlined by singers Tyrese and Anthony Hamilton. The package bill will visit the Landers Center in Southaven on Feb. 17 with a lineup will also feature performances by hitmaking ‘90s/’00s R&B groups Dru Hill, Next and Silk. Local promoters Folk All Y’all will present a Feb. 17 concert by singer-songwriter Leon Timbo. Marc Broussard: Feb. 21, Lafayette’s Music Room

Bayou blues and soulman Marc Broussard returns to Midtown’s Lafayette's Music Room for a special concert performance. Broussard will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his classic “Carencro” album and highlighting songs off the LP. Hit songwriter and 16-time Grammy winner David Foster and his wife, "American Idol" alum and singer Katharine McPhee, make their way to Memphis, playing Graceland on Feb. 28.
