10 church socials for you to enjoy this summer

EVANSVILLE − Churches are houses of worship with deep spiritual meaning, but are also places for friendship and community of a lighter nature, and a plate of fried chicken and homemade dessert never goes wrong.

Church socials raise money to help maintain buildings, pay employees, and fund the church’s group activities and missions. Everyone is welcome to stop by for fun and good food.

Here’s a list of Catholic Church socials in the area this summer, listed by date. Some later events haven't published details yet, but we’ve linked to the churches’ websites or Facebook pages so you can find information closer to the day.
