10 New England beaches ranked among top 100 ‘hidden beaches’ in America

The secret’s out.

After surveying 3,000 families across the United States, Family Destinations Guide published a list of the top 100 “hidden beaches” that people want to visit the most this summer.

Many beaches in Hawaii, Florida, and California populated the list, but New England was well represented.

A total of 10 beaches scattered across New England cracked Family Destinations Guide’s top 100. They are ranked as follows:

  • 31. Crystal Lake in Vermont

  • 36. Roque Bluffs in Maine

  • 37. Seabrook Beach in New Hampshire

  • 50. Seawall Beach in Maine

  • 51. Chatham Lighthouse Beach in Massachusetts

  • 53. Mansion Beach in Rhode Island

  • 63. Alburgh Dunes State Park in Vermont

  • 66. Jenness Beach in New Hampshire

  • 90. Bound Brook Island Beach in Massachusetts

  • 92. Dubois Beach in Connecticut

Awahua Beach in Hawaii was named the top hidden beach in the country. Shell Key Preserve in Florida, Lanikai Beach in Hawaii, Kauapea Beach in Hawaii, and Sedge Island in New Jersey rounded out the top five.
