The holiday season is upon us, and nothing feels merrier than wandering around Nashville's various holiday pop-ups and light displays.

But remember: pics, or it didn't happen.

That's why we scoped out 10 Instagram-worthy spots to take a festive photo in and around Nashville. They're sure to impress family and friends on holiday cards, and they'll leave you with a fond memory of the season.

From parks to mural and bars to hotels, here are our top picks for photo backdrops in the Music City for you and your family, friends, significant others or even pets.

Christmas at Gaylord Opryland

2800 Opryland Dr, Nashville, TN 37214

Although the Opryland Christmas lights are a spectacle that can't be missed during the holiday season, the resort limited attendance to overnight guests or event ticket holders on the weekends. Visitors are still allowed anytime during the week, however.

Guests who arrive before 2 p.m. on Friday through Sunday can stay as long as they like, the resort said.

The Christmas tree at the Tennessee State Capitol was lit on Monday, Nov. 29. The tree this year hails from Murfreesboro.

Holiday season is in full swing at Nashville's newest food hall and retail destination. There are Christmas trees, Nashville Predators installations and a complimentary gift-wrapping station — plus several photo ops.

Candy Cane Jane's Christmas Wonderland Pop-up Bar

Jane's Hideaway in Printer's Alley gets festive this time of year with this wintry pop-up bar. Open Wednesdays through Sundays starting at 5 p.m., the half-indoor, half-outdoor roof-top pop up bar features Holiday themed drinks and snacks and lavish holiday decorations, including a forest of Christmas trees.

The drive is worth it to this Christmas tree farm in Murfreesboro. String lights illuminate the pines and rows of evergreens make the perfect backdrop for a seasonal selfie. You can even book professional photos for your special event.

Another fun pop-up bar in Nashville, the Misfit in The Penthouse of the hotel is a great spot to order a snack, grab a Christmas cocktail, cozy up by the fire pit and, of course, get another festive picture.
