What can you get for $10 (or less) during Athens Restaurant Week? Here are a few options.

Residents and out-of-towners looking for an affordable way to try out the many tastes of Athens look forward to Restaurant Week, running Monday through Sunday this week featuring meal deals from dozens of participating local establishments.

As part of the annual event, lunch menus range from $10 to $15, dinner goes for $25 to $35 and breweries offer flights (groups of tasting-sized glasses that add up to a 16-ounce pint) for $10. Deals and business hours listed are for Athens Restaurant Week only.

Here are a few low-priced options in a variety of categories that will allow you to sample some Classic City dining on a budget, including some items from well-loved Athens staples that fall below the $10 price tag.

Jittery Joe's (350 E. Broad St.): 16-ounce cold brew coffee and a muffin for $5. Open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Zombie Coffee and Donuts (350 E. Broad St.): A half dozen donuts and any coffee drink of your choice for $10. Open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lunch

Dawg Gone Good BBQ (224 W. Hancock Ave.): Pulled pork or chicken sandwich and two sides for $10. Open Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dessert

Cool World Ice Cream Shop (1040 Gaines School Road, #218): 16-ounce milkshakes and Coolie (Italian Ice) shakes for $5. Open Monday-Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Mama's Boy (197 Oak St.): Local peach shortcake with whipped cream and peach syrup for $5. Open Monday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Drinks

Normaltown Brewery (149 Oneta St.): $8 for 5-pour beer flight. Open Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Late night

Munch Hut Deli & Store (175 E. Broad St.): Aristo gyro and mozzarella sticks for $10. Open Monday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. and Friday-Saturday from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m.
