10 most expensive Rockford area homes sold in June all cost over a half-million dollars

As the weather warmed up in June, the housing market remained red hot in the Rockford area.

After a month in which only three homes sold in Winnebago County cost more than $500,000, the month of June saw at least 10 homes sell for more than $500,000.

Here's a look at the 10 most expensive homes sold in Winnebago County in June:

10. 7209 Barngate Drive, South Beloit

This four-bedroom home has 4,700 square feet of living space on 2.2 acres. It features a split floor plan, hardwood floors, two fireplaces and 10-foot ceilings. The master bedroom has coffered ceilings, a double vanity, separate shower and soaker tub and a walk-in closet. The kitchen features granite countertops, a double oven, gas cooktop, a large island and sliders to the covered porch. The lower level has a family room, a fourth bedroom with walk-in closet, full bathroom and a kitchenette. The four-car garage is heated.

9. 1936 Country Hill Lane, Belvidere

Located on two acres, this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home has more than 3,700 square feet of living space.
