Friends of Camp Helen will host a kayak ecotour on Lake Powell from 9-11 a.m. at Camp Helen State Park.

9-11 a.m. at Camp Helen State Park, 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway in Panama City Beach. Join Camp Helen State Park staff for a leisurely 90-minute paddle on Lake Powell, the largest coastal dune lake in North America. Learn about the history, natural communities and wildlife that make this Outstanding Florida Water unique and important. A guided kayak tour is enjoyable for individuals, families and groups. Must be 12 years of age or older and able to independently navigate your own kayak.

The cash-only fee is $30 and includes park entry, watercraft rental, life jacket, paddle and a donation to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call the park at 850-233-5059.

Watercraft and gear from outside the park are not permitted. Meet in the visitor center.  Bring sun protection and drinking water. Program is weather dependent. If there is a chance of inclement weather on program day, call the park for information.
